In honor of Rosa Parks’ unwavering commitment to liberation, justice, and the upliftment of Black people, Blackademics proudly celebrates her legacy and the contributions of all Black women on this Rosa Parks Day, December 1st. Rosa Parks’ work as the Chief Rape Investigator for the Alabama NAACP and her courageous stand against the American criminal system in defense of her Blackness and right to belong remain monumental. May her legacy continue to inspire and endure in America’s collective memory.
As we approach Giving Tuesday on December 3rd, we invite you to support causes that resonate with you. Blackademics is dedicated to spreading truth and education about America’s history and the role of race, racism, and racial politics. Your support helps us continue this essential work.
This year, we produced the groundbreaking Diagnosing Whiteness and Anti-Blackness docuseries—a 10-part exploration of the pervasive impact of race and racism in American society. This project required an investment of $100,000 to produce and promote. We are asking for your support by purchasing a subscription to the series for $50. This subscription is not just content—it’s a tool to foster meaningful, robust conversations with your family, friends, and community. Subscriptions may be categorized as donations and may be considered tax deductible. Be sure to check and confirm with your tax advisor.
Additionally, direct donations to Blackademics will aid in the continued promotion of this project and support initiatives like donating books to schools, libraries, and community organizations.
Mark your calendars: Episode 1 of the docuseries launches Saturday, December 7th! Spread the word—we’re just days away from this powerful and transformative experience. Tune in this Friday and continue supporting Blackademics to keep these critical conversations alive.
Together, we can honor Rosa Parks’ legacy by advancing justice, truth, and education for a better future.
