Yesterday, I gave testimony in court as an expert witness at the San Francisco Hall of Justice, in a case where a police officer exercised unfavorable biased policing practices against a Black male San Franciscan. The California Racial Justice Act enables Black and Brown people to challenge unfair, unequal, and disparate treatment in police interactions. It also encompasses the appearance of racial bias in any situation, including biased remarks and/or treatment during trial.
I am honored to do this work on behalf of all Black people. Black people continue to be assaulted and under attack by the White American legal system and all other institutions. I am honored to be able to help save, affirm, exonerate, and uplift Black men and women who have been affected by White supremacy and anti-Blackness in their many forms. I am able to be a voice for many Black Americans who are unheard, undervalued, manipulated, and mistreated by American institutions.
I am grateful to our African ancestral Gods for choosing, liberating, strengthening, preparing, and blessing me to stand up and advocate for #BlackPeople
Thank you to everyone who continues to support, uplift, value, and share my work. This work is about healing and liberating hearts, minds, and souls.
