About The Event

This session continues to define Whiteness and Anti-Blackness and explores a series of examples and studies that go deeper in highlighting the ways implicit and explicit bias work favorably for White people in America and work against non-White people, most severely against Black people, and their functionalities as American cultural norms, and

across/within American systems and institutions. Again, the primary focus and approach provides learners with opportunities to consider the mental, emotional, and physical impacts of ongoing triggers and traumas caused by racism, or the lack thereof. Each subsequent session takes this approach, emphasizing the psychosomatic effects of both intergenerational and perpetual harms caused by racial trauma.
